Hello, my crafty friends. It is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge. this week we are sponsored by Lawn Fawn designs. There is a $25 voucher up for grabs this week.
This card is inspired by Jennifer McGuire. Go check her blog it is a well of inspiration and techniques.
So, I had bought a couple of magazines as I like the freebies they came with. Everything I used here is from them. I really liked this flowery heart stamp and decided to use it for the focal point and the background. I stamped the 4 corners with the pointy end as you can see in the pic above. I used watering can archival ink on kraft card.
I stamped the whole image this time again with watering can archival ink and clear embossed it with wow powder. I then coloured it with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. Where I wanted the white to be more intense I went over it with a white uniball Signo pen.
I also added Tonic Nuvo drops for some added dimension.
Once the topper was finished, I fussy cut it and matted it onto white hint of gold Centura pearl card and fussy cut this as well. I added foam tape to the back for dimension. All I had left was to matt and layer the card and I used colours that matched the topper and made it pop. The coloured card is actually from a Lidl pack; they do it in 2 weights of paper and come in 25 colours per pack.
For the sentiment, I stamped with watering can archival onto the Centura pearl card and clear embossed. I then cut it with the banner die that came with the set. And then all I had left was to mount it all onto a kraft base card. And that is my mum's birthday card that is on the 2nd of Feb.
So happy crafting and don't forget to join us with your creations hugs Theresa xx
A truly beautiful card for your Mum Theresa, and what a great idea to make the four tiles using the pointed end of the heart stamp which has worked perfectly, and the pencil colouring is so pretty, and the white including the gel pen really makes it stand out against the kraft card, and the three background brightly coloured layers look great. I'm sure your Mum will adore this. x
