Soccer Player

Hello! I'm back again with another card. This time it is the inspiration for the new TTCRD anything goes challenge. This week we are sponsored by KennyK Stamps.

I chose to work with this little fella. who seems to be having loads of fun playing football. He is called Soccer Player.

I think you can see that I had fun colouring him in. I used a combination of Spectrum noir illustrator pens and promarkers.
The background is also drawn. The grass is all made with the pens. For the sky, I used a hand cut cloud mask and broken china distress oxide.

Then  I matted again on white card and attached to base card. I added some embellishments from my stash and the sentiment is an old Kanban one from Patch Pals.
So now I hope you come and join us and for further inspiration please hop onto the TTCRD site to see what team mates have come up with, hugs Theresa xx.

fabulous

Hello there my friends. I created this card a few months ago and was waiting for the right time to blog it. As I flicked onto the LIM challenge yesterday I realised that it fitted the bill perfectly.

It is a very CAS card. I started with a base of kraft card. I then cut some silver and black glitter card strips from the Crafter' Companion and stuck them to the bottom.
For the sentiment, I taped a strip of black and silver to copy paper and then die cut the word which is from Sarah's Glamour Signature range. I added some gems in complimentary colours and the card was finished.
It is a great way of using scraps, hugs, Theresa xx

Wild roses

Hello there my friends. Time is just flying and it is time for another TTCRD anything goes challenge. This is a scheduled post so I hope it will work.

Our sponsor this week is Sheepski Designs. She has some gorgeous designs in her shop so be sure to visit.
The lucky winner will get 3 digi images.

I chose to work with the image wild roses which you can find here. I must say I love this image and to me it says Christmas. So I decided to make a Christmas card and get the list moving.

So it is printed on coconut white card and then I added drawing gum to it to mask it so I could work on background. I overstamped with watering can archival ink (I don't know where the stamp is from, somewhere in China, but I love it).

I brushed distress inks all over the background and added shadow with a damp brush and brushed corduroy. I rubbed off the drawing gum and then added some highlights with Victorian velvet to flowers. The leaves I coloured with peeled paint and forest moss.
I then tore all around it and inked it with distress inks. I matted on torn black card and stuck to the base card.
Finally, I added a bow in matching ribbons and a flower from my stash. I added a bit of sparkle with the Crafter's Companion clear sparkle pen.

teal christmas card

Hi there. I have started on the Christmas card list and some challenges are really inspiring me to go after the Christmas cards.

This week's challenge over at LIM is the one layer card with a coloured base card. I know that teal is not a colour associated with Christmas but I felt that this colour combo worked well. Obviously, I am open to your suggestions.

So I basically die cut the baubles into the base card. They are from the Sara's Scandinavian collection by Crafter's Companion. I then stamped the string in versamark and embossed in gold. Then I went over the baubles with a versamark pen and gold embossed as well. The sentiment is from Claritystamp Word chains and I gold embossed it too.

I thought I had finished when I realised I had smudges across the sentiment. So I had to hide it or else bin the card. So I got out an Imagination Crafts stencil and sparkle paste and added some sparkly snowflakes all around for balance. So now I'm keeping everything crossed that I won't get told that it is too busy!

Hugs, Theresa xx

red and white

Hello there. It has been a while since my last post. However this weekend I found a bit of time to create 3 Christmas cards.

They were inspired by the challenge on LIM challenge blog. This week they asked for cards created in the colours of the flags.

Now since I'm Maltese, this gave me a limited palette of red and white. So I thought that this would work for Christmas.

So I got out a Claritystamp stencil with snowflakes and used it to make all 3 cards. For the first one, I used sparkle gel from Imagination crafts. The sentiment is from the word chains by claritystamp. I used red geranium archival ink and clear embossed.

For the second one, i used red geranium ink and dabbed it through stencil with a stencil brush. I heat set it and then 'foiled' it with the sparkle medium. it gives a beautiful effect as you can see from the pics below. The sentiment is one that came as a freebie with a magazine.

The last one is using polar Cosmic Shimmer white sparkle paste. It is then finished in the same way as above. So 3 more done, hugs Theresa xx.
