green and blue

Hello my crafty friends. So nice of you to drop by to check my post. i hope it won't be a very long one.

Last Saturday I went to the Motorcycle Museum craft fair and on one of the stalls I came across these little background papers. They are just over 3 inches square. I thought they would be great for quick cards so I picked some.

i picked some of the backgrounds and started playing. These cards are some of the ones I made. They are all made in same way.

Using library green archival ink i stamped the fir trees repeatedly in first and second generation ink. I also changed the height to give impression of a slope.

I stamped sentiment in black archival and embossed in crystal embossing powder.
All the stamps used are from Claritystamp Ltd.

I added some snow on trees by adding white dots of snowflake paperartsy chalk paint with a fine embossing stylus.

I then added some cosmic shimmer crystal glitter glue. I matted on black card and attached to white 5 inch square base card.

And voila' a quick and easy Christmas card that is also CAS. I do hope you like them and would love to read all your comments, Theresa xx.

I would like to enter these cards in the following challenges:

Less is more challenge - colour: green and blue
Word art Wednesday - anything goes
Christmas Card challenge - photo inspiration

    1. thanks Linda. the sho is tiny but i found some good deals like the papers were £1.99 for a set of 40 sheets and if you bout 3 sets you got 2 stamps free. I bought 5x5 card blanks with envelopes, a set of 25 for £2 and a set of 50 8x8 or 7x7 were £5. cheaper than anywhere else i've been. and people don't pull you and push you. depends how far you have to travel i guess. but if you go please let me knoe. i'd love to meet you xx

  7. Hi Theresa! I saw your post at "I'm addicted to rubber stamps" and just HAD to come here to see more! Beautiful cards! I thought you had made the backgrounds with ink until I read the next. What a lucky find those papers were! Love the trees you stamped, look much like watercolour paintings. Nice touch with the glimmer and glitter. Happy Holidays!
