Love - Simon says stamp challenge

This card was all an exercise in masking. It is all done in black archival and black soot distress ink. I started by stamping the quirky cottage that was an NDC stamp from Clarity stamp. I .masked it off and stamped the tree behind it. incidentally all stamps used are from Clarity stamp.

I then stamped the heart which was another NDC stamp. Then using balloon stamp i inked the ribbon part and made sure i masked off balloon and stmped underneath heart to turn it into a balloon. I stamped the small tree in background. Then i brayered the sky using black soot after i put a moon/sun mask and also masked off the heart. Then i made a cloud mask from copy paper and sponged in some clouds.

I removed the moon mask and after cotting a hill shape from copy paper i brayered in some hills in background. Using same paper i shaded some areas creating little hedges which i edged with the little tree stamp. I also created a path from the house.

Finally i stamped the birds and coloured in cottage door in red sakura glaze pen.

Matted and layered and finished off with a wrought iron fence cut out of black card with a spellbinder d-lite.

I know it's not as good as Emma Williams's creations, from whom i get loads of inspiration, but i thought i'd enter it into Simonsaysstamp challenge - love.
