Hello my friends. I'm back with another offering. This time it is mainly a one layered card that was inspired by card that the talented Janet Pring did a few weeks ago.
I started by making a mask from post it notes that was big enough to take the peony posie stamp by IndigoBlu and masked the centre of a piece of white card. I then went around with removable tape and masked off an edge round all 4 sides.
Using the extreme edges of the posie stamp and watering can archival ink, I went round all 4 sides. Using brushes and distress inks I brushed scattered straw, squeezed lemonade and then pulled a bit of mustard seed from the inside edge using a make-up sponge. And that was the outer border finished.
I removed all the masking and stamped the peony posie in the centre with watering can archival ink. I coloured it in with distress inks and damp paintbrush. I used spun sugar, picked raspberry and seedless preserve for the peonies and tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon and squeezed lemonade for the forget-me-nots. Cracked pistachio and lucky clover finish the leaves.
I went round the edges with a gray fine liner pen. Then I mixed some gold perfect pearls with a drop of water and with the brush deposited tiny spots on random splatters on the stamped design. Finally I added some bisque liquid pearls to the centres of the forget-me-nots.
Once dry I finished the card off with some matting and layering.
And now this card has gone to cheer up somebody from work who was suddenly afflicted with Bell's palsy...... Theresa xx
