Today's cards where inspired by Emma Williams who is one amazing crafter. If you would like to visit her blog you can do so here.
I started with a piece of taupe card and stamped the hot air balloon (freebie in a craft magazine) in coffee archival and clear embossed it. Next i stamped it 3x per balloon on graphic 45 paper eeeeeeeek. Yes I finally did it! I have cut into my g45 papers!! Unheard of, but needs must.
I decoupaged the image to make it look more realistic. I coloured the 2 blue bands with broken china distress marker. Then i stamped the trees in olive archival. I used 2 trees both from Clarity stamp. Then I inked some clouds with broken china distress ink and a make up sponge using a Clarity stencil. I stamped birds again from clarity stamp and then matted and layered on kraft card and another graphic 45 paper.
i finished it off with some twine, cogs and the compass from one of the Tim Holtz collections.
I made 2 slightly different ones for 2 of Alessandro's friends that have their birthday within a few days of each other.
Hope you like what i made, Theresa xx
