Christmas - Visible Image and Tim Holtz dies

Hello my friends. Today I have another Christmas card on offer. This is made using 2 stamps and 2 dies.

The stamps are the Christmas background and grunge flourish. Both are from Visible Image.
The dies are both sizzix and are tattered poinsettia and flourishes.

I started with a blue brusho background. I cut half for the background and the rest I used for the poinsettia.

I stamped the grunge flourish randomly over background in snow adirondak ink. I then over stamped the word background twice using cobalt archival ink and heat embossed with kaleidoscopic powder. In real life the background is very sparkly but this is so difficult to capture on pics.

I went all around the edge with the edge of the flourish and cobalt archival and heat embossed in kaleidoscope powder. Then I over stamped this in versamark and heat embossed with white puff twinkle powder. This made the whole background pop.

Next i tackled poinsettias. I went round the remaining brusho paper with versamark ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder all over. Then i tapped it to release some granules and brushed some off o give a more distressed look and then heat embossed. I brushed over it lightly with brushed pewter stain and wiped it off embossed areas. I then cut out the flowers and  mounted them. I added white puff twinkle to centres.

The flourishes I cut out of same blue card on which i mounted topper. I inked in versamark and heat embossed with kaleidoscope powder for extra sparkle.
I mounted on Blue and stuck on A5 white base card as shown.

As usual i do hope you like the card.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Simon says stamp Monday challenge - rock the techniques ( over stamping )
