Massimo's Clarity DT guest piece -Nature

Well since he won the last Clarity challenge, Massimo was asked if he wanted to do a guest piece for the next challenge. He said yes and this is what he made.

He had it all worked out in his head. He asked if I had parrots and I showed him the stamp and he had already decided it was going to be a blue and green card. So he stamped the naked branch in black archival and the love birds. Then he stamped the tree stump and the squirrel on top.

Next it was time to do the swing. I showed him on scrap and he did it on the card. He chose the moon mask and placed it down. I cut out some masks for him and to my surprise he placed them quite well on images. next came his favourite bit - ink and brushes. Below is a picture of him colouring in the sky.

He used, tumbled glass, broken china, stormy sky, faded jeans and chipped sapphire for the sky.
Then it was time for hills. These he did with the help of a torn piece of copy paper. The inks here are: bundled sage, peeled paint, icy spruce and forest moss.

After lifting all the masks he coloured in the images using my spectrum noir pencils. Sorry no idea of numbers. And then he left it with me to mat and layer. I matted it simply on one of the blue sheets that come with the stencils as it toned in perfectly and added some glosy accents to beaks, eyes and claws.

As usual I hope you like his offering, Theresa xx

  2. Absolutely stunning. Massimo you are one extremely talented boy. How you have planned this in your young head, the layout and the colours and then to transfer it onto card is amazing. Looking forward to seeing your creations in future years xx

  4. Theresa, you have one very talented son there. He will either be very special in the design field or he will have a wonderful hobby to de-stress to in his future life.
