Hello there. It's a break from kraft card today but I promise you there is more to come :).
This card is all worked on the front of the base card. Although it looks like I have matted and layered, it is all done with masking.
So I started by masking an area on an A6 card with a post it note. I then inked the background with distress inks (abandoned coral, mermaid lagoon, twisted citron and fossilized amber) using brushes.
I then stamped the 2 opposing corners with a corner stamp and black archival ink.
Then I removed the post it note and stamped the sentiment in the centre. I really love this sentiment and for me crafting makes me happy so I was doing just that.
I then stamped the butterfly and the blossoms again in black archival ink. I then coloured the butterfly with the same colours of background and then went over it with the clear wink of stella pen to add a bit of subtle bling.
Finally I went around central panel with a black micron pen.
All the stamps are by Sheena Douglass and they were a freebie in a magazine.
And voila! I hope this time i will not have problems with the challenges...... Theresa xx
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Less is more challenge - one layer card: wishing
Word art Wednesday - anything goes
Creative knockouts challenge - CAS a day for daisies
This is lovely Theresa and I love the way you have outlined the central panel with the micron pen which really makes it stand out. I have that set of stamps, in fact I used that same butterfly on a card I made yesterday, not on my blog yet though. x
