my besties and fussy and fancy challenge

Hello my crafty friends and followers. It is nearly the end of August and so time for another Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge.
This time our sponsors are Sheri Baldy designs and Sweet Lilac flowers.

We were given some digi designs to work with and this girl was the one I was assigned to work with. I must confess that this is the first time that I have worked with these designs and so I did have a look at Pinterest before I set out on this project. Those of you that know me, know that this style is very far from my comfort zone, especially the pink!

So I printed off image and cut it out with an oval die. I coloured it using promarkers. I used several and don't know if I will remember them all.

skin: blush, satin and oatmeal
eyes: April showers and denim blue
hat, dress, shoes: April showers, denim blue, cornflower and china blue
t-shirt, socks:
ribbons: dusky pink. amethyst and magenta
flowers: magenta and gold
hair: ivory, pastel beige, sandstone.caramel
ground: warm grey 1

Then I matted on black, cut a bigger oval in light blue that looks light April showers and matted this on black again.
Then I turned to my spellbinders and cut several dies from card that matched the promarkers  on the dress. Most of them are from the Heartfelt Creations range.
I arranged them as shown, after I had matted the light blue on black on the base card. After I had stuck down the bigger oval, I attached a strip of black to which I had attached some black lace.

I stuck down the main image with foam pads for some dimension and then turned to the flowers. I rummaged in my stash of Sweet Lilac flowers to find ones that matched my colour palette and arranged them as shown.
I finished the card with glossy accents to eyes and buttons and some pearls.

I hope you enjoy my first My Besties, please be gentle and join us over at FFFC, Theresa xx

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
