flowers and spectrum noirs.....

Hello again my friends. On my blog feed today I found a post related to Craft Stamper magazine. Now this is a magazine that I tend to read from cover to cover as it is always filed with so any stunning projects and techniques.

The challenge on their blog is all about the use of pens or pencils and I remembered that I had made this card that I had never blogged.
I started by cutting a square piece of kraft card and stamping this beautiful corner from Claritystamp in black archival and heat embossed it in clear.

I then cut out a tag shape from kraft card and stamped the same image 4 times in black archival ink and heat embossed in clear. Once all the stamping was done I set about colouring. I used spectrum noir pencils: a white and a blue. I started with the white   and then added the blue adding more layers to darken some areas. I coloured in only the stems and flowers as shown.

I then cut a slit around the outer edge of image on the square card as shown.
This is where the tag slots in as you can see below. I matted the card onto a white sclloped squre and then on a navy square to make the colours pop.

I added some ribbon to tag and my idea was that it could be used as a bookmark which meant that the card had a little gift with it.

I then stamped the sentiment, again from Claritystamp on white base card. The 2 narrow lines of kraft card were 2 slithers that I trimmed off tag as it was a tad wide. I thought waste not, want not and so I used them on card.

I hope you like my offering. I certainly enjoyed making it, Theresa xx

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Craft Stamper blog challenge - take a technique: pens and pencils
Sister Act card challenge - anything goes
