Massimo's birthday ....

Hello again. This time it's been a while since I blogged. However in my defense this week I have been busy with Massimo having had a terrible cold and for the first time in 3 years I had to keep him off school.
To top it all it was his 7th birthday this Saturday and this is the card I made for him.

The main components are die cut from the pirate set by X-cut. I decide to add dimension so  I cut 5 layers of waves in different shades of blue. I also offset the wave pattern to add more interest. I glittered the edges with stickles diamond glitter glue.

Here you can see how I created a concertina effect to add all the different layers.

I added some depth to the clouds by some shading with a gray spectrum noir pencil.
The sun I cut with a circle spellbinders die. I stamped an embossed sentiment.
The name was created using the letterbox kit and tag shape. I used black archival ink and red geranium ink and embossed in clear.
I threaded yellow twine through the tag holes.
The kite with age is created in same way.
All the stamps used are from Claritystamp.

I do hope you like my make. Massimo sure did as he screamed: "I love it! It is the best card in the world!", Theresa xx

Here he is reading his book intently after we had lunch at Frankie and Benny's following Big Hero 6.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
